Imerovigli is a picturesque village of Santorini, just two km from the vibrant capital of the island. While maintaining smooth accessibility to the bustling nightlife of Fira and all the sights and attractions on the island, Imerovigli exudes a mystical aura of tranquillity and relaxation. Its name literally translates to “observatory point” and it is perfectly justified. As a matter of fact, Imerovigli sits on top of a cliff and provides dramatic views to the iconic caldera, the volcano and the earth-shuttering sunset.

Within short distance from Imerovigli, you may reach Skaros rock. This used to be one of the five main fortified settlements on the island and the very same rock is one of the most photographed places in Santorini. In fact, Skaros was the capital of Santorini back in the day and up till the 18th century. As mentioned above, Fira and the quaint village Firostefani is just a lovely walk from Imerovigli but you can also find lovely cafes and outstanding restaurants in just a few steps from Abelonas. There are buses connecting the village of Imerovigli with all the other places in Santorini, including the main attractions of the Red Beach and Akrotiri Ancient Site.
